Grays Harbor County Fair Talent Show

Join us for the exciting Grays Harbor County Fair Talent Show on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM on the Dennis Co. Ace Stage! This annual showcase is your chance to shine on stage and celebrate local talent as young as age 6! Whether you sing, dance, juggle, or perform magic, we want to see your skills!

Auditions will be held Saturday, June 14 at 12:00 PM and Wednesday, June 18 at 6:00 PM. Don’t miss your chance to be part of one of the fair’s most popular events!

How to Apply

  • The talent show is open to contestants 6 years and older. There will be four divisions based on the ages of the participants: 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21 & older.
  • The talent show is open to individuals as well as groups. A person may appear in one act only.
  • The talent show is open to amateurs only. Any participant(s) who are paid for performing will be considered professionals and therefore not eligible for the show.
  • The talent show competition is only open to residents of Grays Harbor and Mason counties.
  • Applications are available at the Grays Harbor County Fair Office in Elma, on the website at www.ghcfairgrounds.com, or by mail if you call the office at 360-482-2651.

The Audition Process

  • Auditions are Saturday, June 14 at 12 noon and Wednesday, June 18 at 6pm in the Pavilion Meeting Room at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds – Elma, Washington. Applicants need only attend one audition.
  • Singers who do not accompany themselves at the audition cannot sing along with the original artist, they must use a background track or sing acapella. (Most backgrounds are available from karaoke websites.)
  • A CD player and Bluetooth speaker will be provided at the audition. Anyone chosen to perform at the Fair must be able to forward their background by email for use in the show.
  • Each contestant or act will be a single song, tune or routine and may not exceed 5 minutes in duration.
  • From the auditions, as many as 16 finalists will be selected to compete at the County Fair in August. Each finalist will receive a special one-day pass to enter the Fair in order to compete in the talent show.

The Talent Show Competition

  • The Talent Show will be presented at 3:00PM on the Dennis Co. Ace Stage on Saturday, August 02, 2025 during the County Fair. Each of the selected contestants to appear during the Fair MUST report to the Dennis Company Ace Stage one (1) hour prior to the start of the Talent Show.
  • Contestants must perform the same act in the finals as was performed in the audition (i.e. must be the same song, dance, etc.)
  • Contestants placing first in their division, as either an individual or group, will not be eligible for the competition in the next year’s talent show in the same division.
  • The talent show coordinators will select three judges to evaluate the competition.
  • Contestants will be judged on talent, stage presence, poise and overall impression.
  • One cash prize will be awarded for first place and second place in each age division whether it is an individual, duo or group act. Prize money will be paid by check four to six weeks following the fair.
