Exhibitor Information

How to Enter an OPEN CLASS Exhibit at the 2024 GHC Fair:
  1. Determine what you will enter by looking through the 2024 Exhibitor Book*. Please be sure to read any special requirements, entry limits, entry days/times and other information that applies specifically to individual departments.
  2. Take note of entry days/times listed below, and in the 2024 Exhibitor Book.
  3. Fill out an entry form. (Entry Forms will also be provided on entry days)
  4. Bring your entry & entry form to the GHC Fairgrounds on the assigned entry day!
  5. Deliver your entry to the correct building or barn. (Listed in the 2024 Exhibitor Book)
  6. When in doubt, check the 2024 Exhibitor Book!

Congratulations! If you have completed all these steps, you have successfully entered an Open Class Exhibit in the 2024 Grays Harbor County Fair!

Still Life:
Saturday, July 27 from 10am-12pm
Sunday, July 27 from 10am-6pm

Baked Foods:
Tuesday, July 30 from 10am-2pm
Gardening, Flowers, & Vintage Equipment:
Tuesday, July 30 from 2pm-7pm

Entry Day/Time & More

All entries are due to the Pavilion Annex before the fair on Tuesday, July 30th, from 10AM to 2PM.

All entries and awards will be released on Sunday, August 4th, following closing day of the Fair, between 10AM and 3PM.

31ST ANNUAL BERRY BAKING CONTEXT

There will be two divisions in the contest:
Division I - Youth (16 years of age and under)
Division II - Adult (17 years of age and over)

The following classes will be used:
1. Pies (one whole pie)
2. Cakes (one half) and Cupcakes (6 minimum)
3. Quick Breads (one half loaf) and Muffins (6
minimum)
4. Cookies (6 minimum)
5. Desserts (8” square minimum)
6. Bars (6 minimum)
7. Scones (3 minimum)
8. Gluten Free (Number should be the same as
above example if it is a gluten free cookie it
should be 6)

Entries must have berries included in some form. Part of the entry must have been baked (i.e. a fresh berry pie would have a baked crust). A contestant may enter as many times as he/she desires. Recipes must be included with the entry.

The contestant must present his/her entry at the gate on Wednesday, opening day of the fair, between 10AM and 1PM. The entry will qualify the contestant for a free one-day fair admission pass. Contestants must then deliver their entry to the Pavilion Annex where they will be checked in and judged.

GRAND PRIZE
Overall Grand Prize winner will receive a Fair Scones Basket.
Cash awards of $30 and $20 will be awarded to the top overall entries in the Berry Baking Contest.
Ribbons will be awarded by the Grays Harbor County Fair in each class of entries.
