All entries are due to the Pavilion Annex on Sunday, before the Fair, from 10 am to 6 pm.

Entries will also be accepted during regular business hours through Saturday,(before the Fair), at Photo Lab Express, 120 W. First, Aberdeen.

All entries and awards will be released on Sunday, closing day of the Fair,
from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

1. Photographs previously exhibited in the Grays Harbor County Fair will not be accepted.
2. The minimum print size is 5’ X 7’. The maximum print size is 16” X 20”. The print size does not include the matteboard.
3. All entries must be mounted on matteboard. The total size of the matteboard may be no smaller than 8” X 10” and no larger than 16” X 20”. Entries mounted on wood or covered with either glass or plastic will not be accepted.
4. Laser prints and/or copy machine prints will not be accepted. PHOTO QUALITY PAPER ONLY will be accepted for digital photos.
5. The name, address, and division of the exhibitor must be clearly printed on the back of each photo.
6. Professionals are defined as persons who give lessons, or who engage in a photography business for profit. These persons must enter the professional division.
7. There is a limit of ten total entries per exhibitor.
8. All photos will be judged on composition, print quality, and visual impact.
9. A People’s Choice Award will be selected by popular vote.

SPECIAL AWARDS

A $25 gift certificate for film developing and for digital developing will be awarded by Photo Lab Express of Aberdeen, WA to the Best of Show entry in the photography department and in the digital class.

A gift certificate for a framing will be awarded by Clyde & Sylvia’s Frames-N-Things of Aberdeen, WA to an outstanding exhibit in the photography department.

A $5.00 gift certificate will be presented by McDonald’s to the two Outstanding Exhibits in the Youth Division.

Camera techniques (including exposure, depth of field, stop, motion, etc.)
Lighting
Mounting

CREATIVE KIDS EXHIBIT
“MY FAMILY” PHOTOS
Sponsored by Merrill Photography of Tokeland, WA.

1. This contest is open to all children, ages 8 to 16.
2. Photographs may be black and white or colored, may be self or commercially processed and must be at least 5” x 7” and no larger than 8” x 10”.
3. All photos must be mounted on matte board. No frames will be allowed.
4. Pictures must have been taken since the last fair.
5. The type of camera used must be listed on the entry tag.
6. The Grays Harbor County Fair’s general rules and contest policies will apply.
7. Judging will take place prior to the fair and will be closed to the public.
8. Entries must be brought to the Pavilion Annex at the fairgrounds on Sunday, August 3 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
PRIZES:
All entries will receive either a blue, red, or white ribbon. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive rosettes and merchandise or cash awards, sponsored by Merrill Photography.

Class 1 – “My Family” Photo, ages 8 to 11
Class 2 – “My Family” Photo, ages 12 to 16

A. Youth - persons 16 years of age and under
B. Adult (Amateur)- persons 17 years of age and over
C. Professional - persons 17 years of age and over who give lessons or who engage in a photography business for profit.
