FINE ARTS

All entries are due to the Fine Arts Building on Sunday, before the Fair, 10 am to 6 pm.

All entries and awards will be released on Sunday, closing day of the Fair, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

1. All entries is this department must be original. No copy of classroom work, paint-by-numbers , or other copied work will be accepted.
2. Entries may be made either by the original artist, or with the artist’s permission.
3. Paintings previously exhibited at the Grays Harbor County Fair will not be accepted.
4. All entries must be suitably framed or matted, wired ready for hanging. PICTURES THAT ARE NOT WIRED OR SUITABLY READY FOR HANGING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
5. All entries will be judged by a jury of two.
6. All possible care will be exercised, but the Grays Harbor County Fair and the Grays Harbor Art League assume no responsibility for the loss or damage to entries.
7. Entries are limited to a maximum of two total entries per person in sections 1-5, three entries in section 6, and one entry in special theme category.
8. Ribbons will be awarded as follows: First - blue ribbons; Second - red ribbons; and Third - white ribbons. Best Section, Best Youth Division ribbons and Adult Best of Show may also be awarded.
9. A Daily People’s Choice Award will be selected by popular vote.
10. Entry shall be the artist’s own decision in one of the divisions listed below.

SPECIAL AWARDS
A $25 award will be awarded by the Grays Harbor Art League to the entry designated as Best of Show.

A $5 McDonald’s gift certificate will be awarded to the Most Outstanding Exhibit in the Junior Division and the Most Outstanding Exhibit in the Youth Division.

DIVISIONS:
A. Juniors - persons 12 years of age and under
B. Youth - persons 13 to 16 years of age
C. Schooled Art – a person of any age who is a student of an art school
D. Adult - persons 17-61 years of age (includes both practicing artists and amateurs)
E. Seniors - persons 62 year of age and over
