1. An entry fee of $1.00 per bird will be charged on all entries in this department. Poultry entry forms may be requested by calling the fair office at 360-482-2651. Fees must accompany completed entry forms. Address entries to: Grays Harbor County Fair, PO Box 1229, Elma WA 98541.
2. Entries will not be accepted after July 16. Substitutions by band number will be made at time of coop in.
3. All breeds recognized by the A.P.A. and the A.B.A. will be accepted for the exhibition.
4. Entry form show the manner in which the bird is to be shown. (i.e. cock, hen, cockerel, pullet, old trio, young trio). The entry form must also state the breed, variety, leg band number, and whether large fowl or bantam.
5. All birds must be provided with leg bands and the band numbers listed on the entry form.
6. For the purpose of this exhibition, a trio shall consist of one male and two females of the same age. “Cock, hen, and old trio” shall mean birds over one year of age. “Cockerel, pullet, and young trio” shall mean birds under one year of age.
7. The Fair Manager and the Department Superintendent shall have the right to refuse entry to the show, or to remove from the show, birds showing any signs of disease, parasites, or poor condition.
8. All birds must be entered in the name of the owner. Any exhibitor showing borrowed birds will forfeit all premiums won.
9. All birds must remain in place until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, closing day of the fair, subject to special permission of the Fair Manager and the Department Superintendent.
10. The Grays Harbor County Fair will not be responsible for loss, theft, or the damage of any exhibit, although special care will be taken to protect same.
11. There will be no charge for feed or care of the birds while at the fair. All birds will be cared for by the fair.
12. Because of limited barn space, those entries received first will receive the first available barn space. The Fair Manager and the Department Superintendent reserve the right to limit entries, if necessary.
13. As a precautionary measure, Newcastle disease vaccination is recommended. Any vaccination must be administered at lease 45 days prior to the fair. For other health requirements, please refer to general rules.
14. All eggs are property of the Grays Harbor County Fair.
15. Birds may be handled by their owners, judges, or members of the fair staff.
16. The poultry department will accept entries of quality ducks and geese. Only recognized breeds and varieties will be accepted.
17. Exhibitors desiring a season gate pass may purchase them at the fair office prior to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
18. Premium money will be paid 30-60 days after the fair by check.

Premiums will be awarded as follows (average is $.22 per point for the past six years):
Single Entries: 1st - 10 points; 2nd - 8 points
Trio Entries: 1st - 15 points; 2nd - 12 points
